Two American women were arrested on July 24 at the Sangster International Airport in St James on Friday, regarding the seizure of over a million dollars worth of cocaine are booked for appearance in the St James Parish Court on July 31, Friday.
The women have been identified as 18-year-old Satania Clarke and 24-year-old Lakeisha Bell, both belong to the United States’ Connecticut.
It was reported that at about 12:20 pm, the women arrived at the airport to board a flight which was leaving for New York.
However, four packages which had cocaine were found in their luggage during security checks.
The cocaine weighed around 2.5 pounds, and it had an estimated street value of $1.3 million.
The women would answer to the charges of dealing in cocaine, possession of cocaine and attempting to export cocaine.
