Delano “Prekeh Bwoy” Wilmott, the most wanted man in Jamaica, was shot and killed during an operation by the members of the security forces on Wednesday morning in Cambridge, St James.
Wilmot, who belonged to Mother Lane, Retrieve, in Cambridge, St James.
In the past, he was a high ranking member of the notorious Ratty Gang, and he was also involved in the 2017 shooting of two members of the Jamaica Defence Force in St James.
Wilmot was also wanted in the murder of a man in Cambridge.
Reports say that Wilmott was shot dead during an early morning raid in the Amity area of Cambridge. Reportedly an M16 rifle was seized in operation.
Prekeh appeared on the radar of the Police during the reign of terror by the Ratty gang on residents of the Retrieve and Cambridge in St James.
Wilmot was a former top-level lieutenant of the gang, which was led by Ryan’ Ratty’ Peterkin.
Peterkin, went into hiding after the January 2018 declaration of the state of emergency in St James, was shot dead during a face-off with the security forces in Westmoreland.
