The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew made the presentation of simulation equipment to the Division of Health Science Nursing Department. Dr Drew, was present at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) for the handover on Monday, October 2, 2023.
The prime minister shared some glimpses of this event on his social media. He made the presentation in his capacity as the Minister of Health. It is evident through several of his previous engagements that Dr Terrance Drew is committed to ensuring quality in healthcare.
The equipment would help the training nurses of the federation to learn effectively. He and his team at the Ministry of Health host several initiatives the nurses of the federation can get top of the line training, international standards of practice and more.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew’s presentation of the equipment also falls under the same mandate. The Division of Health Science Nursing Department got the following equipment during the presentation ceremony:
- A new Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training kit
- Intravenous (IV) Training Arms
The donations of these medical equipment is expected to make the training nurses equipped with the knowledge and skills to revive a patient. Through the new machines, the nurses can learn to locate veins, and set up drip systems.

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, the Minister of Health said, Such training is pivotal for producing high-quality nurses and continuously improving healthcare delivery in our Federation.
This donation will allow the nurses to serve the people of the country better.
