The joy project, led by Diani Prince Drew, organised the The Joy Project’s “Her Wish Granted.” Under this programme, the members of “The Joy Project” utilised a sum of more than EC$20,000 to honor 22 deserving mothers.

The mothers were nominated by family members, friends, and members of their communities. The event took place with the aim of honoring the women of the community who contribute significantly to the  growth of their communities and their families. The event was also an opportunity for the wife of the Prime Minister to acknowledge and honor the other women for their work towards the growth of the island.

The organisation shared a formal statement detailing the aim and proceedings of the event where the “Her Wish Granted” initiative was implemented. The organisation also appreciated the women recipients for their work in the various fields of growth for the island.

“Through this initiative, over EC$20,000 in support was provided to women who are working tirelessly to provide for their families, pursue their education, care for their children, and create better opportunities for themselves and those who depend on them,” a statement said.

“These women represent strength, sacrifice, and perseverance, and “Her Wish Granted” was created to offer practical support to mothers carrying significant responsibilities, often quietly and without recognition. The month of May is dedicated to honoring the unseen forces that drive our communities forward.

The organisation has extended their sincere gratitude to the people who took the time to nominate the women. The nominees were supposed to be deserving mothers. The persons who nominated the women also shared their nominees’ story with the organisation.

The Joy project said that they were deeply moved by reading the many stories of resilience, love, and determination was deeply moving,”

“To the mothers we supported, we see you, we celebrate you, and we continue to wish you strength and success on your journey,” the Joy Project said
