SKTA Visits Dominica to Boost Intra-Caribbean Travel and Regional Partnerships

St. Kitts Tourism Authority visited Dominica as a part of the Intra-Caribbean Travel Program, an initiative to strengthen the St. Kitts as a travel destination on a regional level. The official visit of the members took place on Sunday 10, May 2026.

According to officials, the initiative was a strategic measure part of the organisation’s efforts to push awareness, deepen engagement and stimulate intra-Caribbean travel. Under the programme the organisation wants to promote travel between Caribbean islands, strengthen the tourism ties and to increase visitors arrivals from the neighbouring island.

Drunisha Hanley, Caribbean Sales & Events Officer, and Communications & Digital Marketing Officer Savita Tilackdharry led the St. Kitts Tourism Authority delegation. The delegation’s official visit was based on all travel statistics, including market research, travel trends, visitor data, and industry feedback.

During their visit to Dominica they conducted sales calls with stakeholders, including Whitchurch Travel Agency and Travel Professionals. Officials shared the  destination updates with them and exchanged market intelligence with travel agencies. They further identified emerging travel trends to concentrate on positioning St. Kitts strongly within the Caribbean region.

According to sources, Dominica tourism partners are a long term asset for the St. Kitts Tourism Authority in the regional tourism market. The delegation journey also helped in building professional ties between both the islands, enforcement of strategic partnership along with uncovering of new opportunities for collaboration and growth within the Caribbean travel trade.

St. Kitts Tourism Authority also engaged with the Dominica public through local media to promote St. Kitts as a travel destination. They used popular local FM channels including a live on-air radio interview on Kairi FM where they connected with listeners directly.

Additionally, the Caribbean region is the second largest travel source market for St. Kitts and St. Kitts Tourism Authority believes initiatives like this help in strengthening the regional ties  along with sustainable growth.
