Basseterre: Many persons of the general public are heavily criticizing the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for allegedly tampering with evidence in a case concerning popular blogger and local influencer Shaq Bassue Benjamin.
As we would recall, Shaq and two others were arrested on August 20th, 2021, following a peaceful demonstration by persons in the country who are against forced vaccinations for different reasons.
As a result of him being arrested, his phone was confiscated and placed into evidence as a means to support charges of Taking part in a public procession without permission from the police, Breach of the peace, Willful obstruction, Obstructing a police officer, Resisting arrest, and Malicious damage, which were all put against him.
Disappointingly, police officers allegedly broke into the accused phone and deleted recorded evidence from his social media.
How far would this police force and this government go to manipulate the system and victimize the people of this country?
