Parliamentary Representative for Central Basseterre Marsha T Henderson has taken her “Our Community, Our Pride” campaign to the Shadwell Gardens. Minister Henderson has seen significant success with the people of the island.
The Minister has shared that the people of the island, especially the residents of the Central Basseterre have supported the people of the island. The community enhancement efforts have been taken to the Shadwell Gardens. This time, several weeks after the previous community beautification and cleanup initiative Minister Henderson and her team focussed on the removal of derelict vehicles and the cleaning of overgrown verges.
The Minister was present at the site where the cleanup and the removal work was being done. The initiative is aimed towards restoring the beauty of the community, making the communities safer and improving the overall appearance of the areas. The Minister’s efforts have been dedicated towards ensuring that the people of the island will have a beautiful community.
The island has been dedicated to making sure that Central Basseterre Communities have access to cleaner, healthier spaces for residents and families. SInce its inception in October and November 2025, the Our Community Our Pride initiative was aimed towards uplifting the community.
The Minister of Tourism had argued that the cleanup drive and support of the community will also bring more tourists to the island. As she returned to this initiative in the new year, Minister Henderson made a similar call to the people of the island.
She has urged her constituents to support the initiative and make their communities more beautiful. The Central Basseterre Labour Branch asked all residents of Shadwell Gardens to join in this effort.
