NHC Advances Housing Construction Across Three St. Kitts Communities

The National Housing Corporation (NHC) of St Kitts and Nevis have announced the ongoing construction of housing projects across the island. Three housing projects are under construction in Buckley’s Settlement, Taylor’s Community and Sandy Point. 

The construction on all three projects started at different times in the last few months and all homes are currently in final stages of The organization that the members of the officials have shared with the members of the community. 

The officials have shared that the work progressed on their social media account. The officials have shared that the members of the community will soon be able to call these homes their own. 

The housing projects are part of the government’s mandate to provide affordable housing solutions to families. The Buckleys estate housing project, which is one of the three most recently started housing projects, is expected to increase housing availability for central Basseterre. 

The Sandy Point Development is a crucial community development and is building on the infrastructural development that has been made in several years. The authorities have shared that the sandy point developments will help in improving housing availability to families in line with the mandate of the administration

The construction on the Taylor’s community housing development has also been started and active. The National Housing Corporation has shared images from the construction sites. Through regular videos and images from the site, NHC St Kitts and Nevis has been updating the people on the progress of the development on each projects.

In addition to Buckley’s, Taylor’s and Sandy Point Housing Projects, the administration has also been working on other projects including: 

  • Gillard Meadows
  • Stapleton
  • Halfway Tree
  • Ottley’s

The government has reported that as a part of the housing development, they have delivered more than 200 homes which are wither compete and handed over or under active construction on the island.
