Minister Marsha Henderson continued the My Community My Pride Initiative in the South East Peninsular with a group of workers. The Minister, who represents Constituency number 2, Central Basseterre in the National Assembly cleaned the roads and vegetation with other workers.
The exercise, conducted on Friday, was done at Timothy Hill, which is a very popular, defining landmark of the country. The initiative, which involves cleanup drives and beautification efforts is being implemented with the help of several stakeholders and locals
The people who have been working with the Minister of Tourism on the project have reported on the progress which they have made. The local confirmed that they are working on keeping St Kitts clean and also extended their support to their Parliamentary Representative, Minister Henderson.
The Minister’s efforts in the initiative have already borne significant fruit for the people of the country. The aim of the initiative is to make sure that all the people of the country are aware of their responsibility to the people of the country.
The Minister of Tourism stated that their efforts to work with the artists and community members to make the community more beautiful. The artists have completed the murals for market area and the steps in Mcknight Irishtown.
The people of St Kitts and Nevis have expressed their sincerest appreciation to the stakeholders who made the initiative a success. The Minister of Tourism and her team shared images from the Timothy Hill cleanup initiative.
The officers also promised that the Our Community Our Pride programme will continue to make the various areas of St Kitts. The Artist, Vaughan Anslyn also shared the images and videos of his finished murals which he painted in Central Basseterre.
