The Cabinet of Ministers along with the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew are visiting the Secondary schools. The visit took place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
St Kitts and Nevis is celebrating the 39th year of independence from the british rule. As a part of celebration, the country has given out a calender, listing the itinerary of events.
The cabinet ministers’ visit to Primary and Secondary Schools is one of the highlight events on the calendar of activities for the 39th anniversary of our Independence. This event provided students the unique opportunity to interact with and familiarize themselves with the members of the Federal Cabinet.
In the last few days, the cabinet visited the government and primary schools all over the islands. The students as well as the teachers of the various schools warmly welcomed the ministers of the SKNLP-led administration to the schools.
On wednesday, September 14, teh Nation was celebrating the National Colours day, with the color white in focus.
All the students of the schools that the Cabinet along with Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew visited, were dressed in white garments to honour the national colour white.
The government of St Kitts and Nevis shared this information via their Facebook, They stated: After visiting the various public and private primary schools in St. Kitts, students of the secondary schools are now getting the opportunity to meet and greet the Ministers of Government.
According to the Independence Calender, the twin-islands have so far hosted a variety of events, such as the Independence Walk which was organised under the SKN Moves Initiative. The islands are celebrating the national colours weeks, so far on September 9, the day was dedicated to the colour green, September 12 was dedicated to yellow, while september 13 was dedicated to the colour white. On wednesday, St Kitts hosted the Prime Minister’s lecture series, in which the featured speaker was Professor Tau Battice.
