St Kitts and Nevis have joined the Commonwealth and International Community nations in mourning the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her majesty died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on September 8, 2022.
Terrance Drew, The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, commemorated the event via a statement.
The statement said, Today, it is with profound sadness that we, the Government and people of St Kitts and Nevis, mourn the passing and celebrate the life, service and legacy of our Queen Elizabeth II.
The Government (and people) of St Kitts and Nevis offer prayers for her, her family and loved ones, and all those who knew her and loved her across the Realms, the Commonwealth, and the rest of the world.
Her reign, marked by resilience, dignity, duty, quiet faith, and righteousness, has been and will continue to be a source of inspiration for all of us.
“May she rest in peace as her service continues to lift our hearts.”
The Premier of St Kitts and Nevis and Leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, Mark Brantley, took to his Social media to share his condolences to his majesty, the king, The Government and the people of the United Kingdom.
He wrote:
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died.
Sometimes we are confronted with greatness by those who transcend the borders of their Nations and become beacons of hope and inspiration for the entire world.
Such a person was Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who tragically passed away today.
I believe that the world has lost an iconic figure, not because of her age or longevity as Monarch but because she has inspired generations throughout the United Kingdom, The Commonwealth and the wider world through her grace and dignity.
I extend profound condolences to the Royal Family, the Government and the people of the United Kingdom and The Commonwealth and to the broader world who today mourn as one, a truly remarkable woman who inspired us all.
May God the Great Comforter provide solace to all those who mourn.

Leader of the opposition Party PLP (People’s Labour Party), Timothy Harris, also extended his condolences after the official announcement of the queen’s passing. He wrote in his Social Media Post:
The passing of Her Majesty, the queen is so unfortunate. She is a great loss to the United Kingdom, the entire world, and her beloved Commonwealth. She stood for dignity, personal sacrifice, and commitment to public service and will be hugely missed. I send condolences to her family
