A woman police sergeant died after a traffic crash along the Mandela Highway in St Catherine.
The sergeant was assigned to the St Catherine South Police Division.
The police Corporate Communication Unit confirmed the incident but did not give any details regarding the same.

The sergeant was the third member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force who died tragically in recent weeks.
Constable Kamal Foster died when the motorcycle he was driving crashed along the Rock Hall main road in St Andrew last month.
Constable Kemar Francis was shot and killed days after the death of Foster by gunmen near Pretoria Road in St Andrew South when he and a colleague responded to reports of gunfire in the area.
