Two St James communities have witnessed shooting incidents on Wednesday night, and two men have died, and two others have sustained bullet wounds.
The people who have been killed are identified as 28-year-old labourer Stephen Clarke, otherwise called ‘Vicious’ of Rose Heights and 58-year-old chef Kirk Grigg of Cornwall Courts, Montego Bay.
According to reports, the first incident of the shooting occurred at about 10:45 pm, in which Grigg was shot dead by armed men when he was walking towards his Cornwall Courts home.
The killers escaped after that.
While the police officers were processing the crime scene, gunshots were heard again at a gambling shop in the Rose Heights community.
Reportedly, two armed men who came on a motorcycle and opened fire on Clarke and two other men.
Three of them were rushed to the hospital, where the doctors pronounced Clarke dead, and the other men were admitted to the same hospital in serious condition.
Since the start of this year, a total of 72 persons have been murdered in St James, a parish which has been under a state of emergency.
