St. Kitts and Nevis has started the preparations for the 43rd Independence Day anniversary for the country. In line with this, the office of the Prime Minister has opened the call for nominations for the 2026 National Honours Awards.
The people of the island will be honored for their contribution and dedication to the growth of St Kitts and Nevis. The awards ceremony is hosted every year as a part of the St Kitts and Nevis Independence Day Celebration Calendar.
The 2026 Independence Day celebration will be hosted under the theme “One People, One Vision, Endless Possibility”. The authorities have shared that 2026 National Honours Awards honors the people who have constantly worked for the benefit of the people of the island.
The officials have shared the federation’s highest recognition of extraordinary citizenship for the people of the island. The awards are given to honour those whose dedication, innovation and selfless service has improved the pace of the development in St. Kitts and Nevis.
At the same time, the award winners have also embodied the very essence of the progress of the federation. The award ceremony honors people from varying ranges of careers and sectors including the pioneers in education and healthcare.
The people who have worked in the field of community development, culture and enterprise etc are also included in the awardees. Finally, the National Honours Awards shine a light on individuals whose quiet determination has moved the nation forward.

The nomination have to include a completed form and a detailed profile highlighting the nominee’s contributions to St. Kitts and Nevis.

All nominations must be submitted no later than Friday July 31, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.
