The first lady of St Kitts and Nevis is currently attending the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition. The event is being hosted with the aim of bringing the first ladies and equivalent leaders together from all over the world.
The attending persons discussed various issues of importance for the world as they work to support the learning of the children. They seek to explore ways in which use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, can be used safely and effectively to support children’s learning, development, and overall well-being.
The First Lady of St Kitts and Nevis, Diani Prince-Drew also spoke at this event and participated actively in the discussions. She said that our size must never limit our ambition, especially when it comes to the development and wellbeing of their children.
Prince-Drew added that in St Kitts and Nevis, we understand that the future of our children will be shaped by technology. This is the reason why the government of St Kitts and Nevis is making targetted investments to make sure that the youngsters of the country are not merely consumers, but also the creators, innovators and responsible digital citizens.

In this regard, the government has reintroduced the one-on-one laptop programme. The programmme ensures that the students across the education sector have access to personal learning devices.
Through this initiative, participating countries are examining innovative tools designed to enhance education, empower parents and teachers, and create modern learning environments, while also ensuring strong protections for children in the digital space.
