Samal Duggins, The Minister of Sports, Creative Economy and Agriculture et al, continued the Senior Sunday Tradition. He visited the elderly people who are living in his constituency along with the shut ins, who can not leave home due to reasons.
During his visit, the minister delivered care packages to the people of the communities which he visited. The care packages and check in visits are part of the Minister’s routine for the people of his community.
Minister Duggins took the opportunity to speak to the people whom he visited during the weekend. The initiative is part of the support initiative for the seniors of the community.
The Minister said that this is a simple but meaningful way of keeping in touch with, and stay connected with the people who have contributed to the community.
The visit was done after the completion of the church service celebrating Black History Month. Minister Duggins thanked Benjamin Thomas for leading the assembled persons in prayer and bringing comfort to those they visited,
He also thanked Claudia Williams for her continued support and presence in serving the people of Constituency Four. Minister Samal Duggins said that in his opinion, these visits are a reminder that service is not just about policy, it’s about people.
The team led by Duggins was also joined by Nurse Tamara Liddie, who assisted with checking vitals, including blood pressure and sugar levels, ensuring our seniors are cared for in the best possible ways. The Minister extended sincere thanks to her for her time, compassion, and service.
The visit was part of Duggins and his team’s community care Initiative. He has been active in ensuring that the people of Constituency 4 are connected to him.
His regular interactions with the seniors, the youngsters and the Community members through the various means is proof that he wants to keep the interests of the people of Constituency 4 at the highest possible threshold.
