Green Solutions International, a company based in St Kitts and Nevis is providing training to the locals to operate Electric Vehicles. The people who finish the training for working with an electronic vehicle will also receive a certificate for the completion of the training.
The training and Certification Course is being organized at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) in collaboration with Green Solutions international. The training programme began on Tuesday and the initiative is being helmed by Andy Latham who is an experienced EV trainer.
He was visiting from the United Kingdom into the voluntary training programme which is helping the youngsters get trained in an all new skill. The training will help the youngsters in making sure that they understand the workings of an electronic vehicles
In case of an emergency, the people who were part of this training programme will be able to help the people in case that there is an emergency. The electronic vehicle training is a government led initiative and forms part of vocational training initiatives for youngsters.
Members of the FortisTCI team based in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the personnel from the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services and the Public Works Department participated in the initiative led by Green Solutions international.
The government of St Kitts and Nevis said that the training programme helps youngsters gain essential hands-on training in EV and hybrid vehicle safety. They can learn about the diagnostics, and servicing of the electronic vehicles which will add another achievement, skill set and opportunity to their CV.
The government also claimed that the number of electric and hybrid vehicles on the island is growing significantly. The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is working with companies like Green Solutions International to make sure that the youngsters are ready for the change. The island now has more electronic vehicles whose workings are different from the working of the patrol or diesel based vehicles
This training and certification course makes sure that local people of St Kitts and Nevis and ready and prepared for are ready for the shift to sustainable, and modern vehicles.
