Minister of Tourism, Marsha Henderson has been awarded Women Tourism Minister of the Year (Caribbean) during the PATWA International Travel Awards 2025 and the PATWA World Tourism & Aviation Leaders’ Summit. The award reflects Minister Henderson’s dedication, leadership, strategic vision, and enhance St Kitts and Nevis as a premier Caribbean destination. 

St Kitts and Nevis was also honored with the PATWA International Travel Award 2025 – Destination of the Year (Hidden Treasures). This award is an acknowledgment of the destination’s stunning natural beauty, pristine beaches, and historic landmarks.

The Award Ceremony

The 25th edition of the summit was held at Internationale Tourismus-Borse (ITB) Berlin, world’s biggest tourism trade fair.

The awards were presented by the Secretary General of PATWA, Yatan Ahluwalia. These accolades showcase the unwavering dedication of St Kitts and Nevis to improve their tourism sector through sustainable practices.

Minister Henderson said that this recognition by PATWA shows the hard work and dedication of the people of St Kitts and Nevis in shaping a sustainable and better tourism experience. She further added that as the Tourism Minister, she remains committed to preserving their heritage while encouraging innovation in the travel and hospitality sector.

Minister Douglas applauds Minister Henderson

Minister Dr Denzil Douglas congratulated Minister Marsha Henderson on winning the PATWA International Travel Awards for 2025 – Women Tourism Minister of the Year (Caribbean) for her amazing leadership in the Tourism sector.


He also applauded St Kitts and Nevis for winning the PATWA International Travel Awards for 2025 – Destination of the Year.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley also extended his best wishes to her for winning the award and said that this accolade was well deserved by Minister Henderson.


Minister of Creative Economy Samal Duggins also congratulated both Tourism Minister Henderson and St Kitts and Nevis for winning the PATWA International Travel Awards for 2025.
