St Kitts and Nevis announces groundbreaking partnership with Sussex Cricket

St Kitts and Nevis: Sussex Cricket announced a groundbreaking partnership with St Kitts and Nevis Ministry of Sports for the 2024 season and will see the island become an Official Premium Partner to the Club.

The partnership between St Kitts and Nevis and Sussex Cricket includes impressive initiatives: sponsor-branded pitch mats on the outfield at the North and South ends of the ground, LED banner advertising on the scoreboards at all home group fixtures, big-screen advertisements, and an advertisement on Livestream.

St Kitts and Nevis Minister of Sports, Samal Duggins, stated that this groundbreaking partnership marked a significant step in promoting sports tourism and cultural exchange between St Kitts and Nevis and the United Kingdom (UK).

He additionally said that the partnership includes several exciting initiatives, one of which is sponsor-branded pitch mats on the outfield at the North and South ends of the ground.

Minister Samal Duggins, through his Facebook, shared that he is pleased to see that the pitch mats promoting the national carnival of St Kitts and Nevis, in place as the minister seeks to market the carnival product to a larger audience.

“Remember there’s only one place to be: Sugar Mas 53,” highlighted Duggins.

Notably, the partnership also aims to attract cricket teams to St Kitts and Nevis during the off-season, enhancing sports tourism and providing local players with opportunities to compete against and be scouted by international teams.

The CEO of the Sussex Cricket, Pete Fitzboydon, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with the Government of St Kitts and Nevis to help showcase the islands to a global audience.”

The Minister of Sports further mentioned that this partnership will bring significant benefit to both parties, and that the ministry is committed to making a successful and memorable collaboration.

In addition to this, the partnership between the two was signed back in June during the St Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee’s press conference when the calendar of events for the Sugar Mas was launched.
