The Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in Havana, Cuba will host the third edition of the Biennial Patriotic Fair on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 February 2024 at the embassy grounds. The event is scheduled to start at 10 AM and close at 3 PM on both days.
The 3rd edition of the Biennial Patriotic Fair is intended to bring a bunch of opportunities to the small to local entrepreneurs. These will include a wide range of handmade crafts including textiles, wall hangings, confectionaries, culinary essences, wooden products, soaps, glass art, rum and brewed beverages will be on display.
Notably, this Fair was originally slated to take place in the last quarter of 2023 but was delayed due to multiple logistical factors. After the leap of almost 3 years, the 3rd edition of this biennial fair is intended to bring numerous opportunities for local and creative businesses
The goal of this event is to market Saint Kitts and Nevis as a destination of multifarious activities and provide its visitors with opportunities to connect with artisans/artists through their work.
Through this, the visitors can also get in touch with the authenticity of the island and effectively immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of the island’s deep cultural heritage and the richness of the local people.
The fair will also feature music and books written by Saint Kitts and Nevis authors. The goal of this event is to market Saint Kitts and Nevis as a destination of multifarious activities as well as provide an opportunity for the invitees to connect with the artisans/artists through their work.
The Embassy has extended an open invitation to more businesses within the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis to come on board and collaborate with the Embassy to promote/market their products in Cuba.
Meanwhile, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared the information on Thursday and invited communities and visitors across the nations to taste the essence of this creative fair/ exhibition.
Previously, the Second edition Triennial Patriotic Fair was held on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 December 2021. The first ‘Patriotic Fair’ held under the auspices of the Embassy of St. Kitts and Nevis took place on the shelves of history on Thursday, 22 November 2018.
The fair featured an open exhibition of strictly made in St. Kitts and Nevis items, including pieces of art and craft, textiles, national wear, folklore costume, ladies’ accessories, batik, literature and many more
