The displayed artworks at the 2023 Youth Art Exhibition left an indelible impression on visitors, including the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Terrence Drew.
The Prime Minister visited the art exhibition on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and was amazed by the artistic skills of the youth of St Kitts and Nevis.
November was declared Youth Month in St Kitts & Nevis. Minister of State Isalean Phillip organized various activities to celebrate Youth Month, where young people showed their talent and creativity in works of art.
Prime Minister Drew visited the Cable House, where the works of art are exhibited and the painting left. The Prime Minister of Kitts and Nevis gave an impressive review as he felt the students demonstrated high competence. He was proud of the artistic youth of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The art exhibit features 40 artworks that showcase historical sites, green energy, conservation of natural resources and areas of natural beauty.
The positive points score is a wrinkle that captures the government’s vision of creating a sustainable island nation.
A friend gave the prime minister two paintings for his birthday on November 22, 2023. Individuals have bought other paintings in the past. Unsold artwork is currently available until November 30, 2023.
The public is encouraged to visit the exhibition before it closes to secure their desired paintings. There is no entrance fee. People can enter during opening hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. And the rest of the artwork will be acquired by Prime Minister Terrence himself.
“We buy them and use them as gifts when we present them to visiting dignitaries to give them a piece of local art from our young people,” said Dr. Drew.
All the money that is going to be gained through the selling of the painting it is going to be rewarded to the owners of the artworks.
