Kayan Jet Private has officially welcomed the JetBlue flight to the Robert Bradshaw International Airport on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Dr Terrance Drew the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis was amongst the officials who gathered at the Kayan Jet Private Lounge to officially welcome JetBlue on its inaugural flight to the Robert L Bradshaw International Airport( previously known as Golden Rock Airport).
A warm inauguration event was held at the airport for executives of JetBlue Airways Corporation which allowed the Government of St Kitts and Nevis to demonstrate its gratitude towards this partnership that will contribute to its friendship with the United States.
PM Drew said that the launching of JetBlue service to the federation of St Kitts and Nevis was a testimony to the commitment of diversifying that they have to improve the international connections.
This partnership with a renowned airline of JetBlue’s stature will undoubtedly yield transformative economic impacts for our beloved Federation.” quoted from PM Drew November 2.
The additional airlift capacity provided by JetBlue will substantially boost the tourism sector of St Kitts and Nevis, which serves as a foundation of the economy.
The jet blue will attract a large number of tourists. The increase on the number of tourist will increase the demand for the St Kitts and Nevis local goods and services, resulting in revenue growth for the businesses and entrepreneurs. Not only that but it will contribute to the GDP of the country.
To add more PM Drew highlighted out that the introduction of JetBlue signifies the creation employment opportunities St Kitts and Nevis.
In additional tourists are expected to flock to the shores creating new employment opportunities, ensuring that the residency gains from the benefits of this growth.
The jobs that will be created are expected not only to provide livelihoods but also empower the Kittians and Nevisians people, contributing to the growth of the nation.
To conclude, JetBlue will offers Travelers, direct flights to and from New York and St Kitts. The service will operate weekly on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
