Culturama: Official opening event turns out great success

The Culturama Festival of Nevis is gearing up for its 49th edition. The official opening ceremony of the cultural festival was scheduled for Thursday, July 27, 2023. The event featured several events and entertainment for the attendants of the cultural festival. The Culturama 49 will feature a number of events in their itinerary.

The detailed schedule for the events was shared by the official social media account of the Culturama Festival more than a month before the events opening on June 16, 2023. The Culturama is one of the most sought-after and remarkable displays of the cultural prowess of the island nation. Meanwhile, the country’s people have been looking forward to the event.

The official opening ceremony of the event featured several events.. The official social media page of the event shared that the event started with a warmup at 4:00 PM. The warmup will start at NTA building with DJ Smudge. The main event happened on July 27 at the cultural complex. The event was free to enter for all the festival goers interested in attending the opening event.

The event started with the warmup and moved on to the parade which took the attendants from the NTA Building to the cultural Complex. The event was widely attended by people from Nevis and thier sister island of St Kitts.

The event was one of the most remarkable in the eastern Caribbean, featuring several performances from crowd-favourite musicians like Vinelle Powell, Blade, Mr Hype and T Bone, King Astro, Princess Navaeh and DJ Purple. All these musicians and artists brought a new flavour of enjoyment to the Culturama 49 opening ceremony. The attendants shared their once-in-a-lifetime experiences at the event.
