The prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew took to his social media account to share glimpses from the diaspora meeting hosted by the government of St Kitts and Nevis to benefit the people of St Kitts and Nevis. The Prime Minister shared several glimpses of the meeting with the members of the Diaspora. The Prime Minister conveyed that he had the distinct privilege of engaging with fellow nationals in New York at a Diaspora Meeting on Monday, May 15, 2023. The meeting was attended by several members of the Diaspora living in New York
Talking about the diaspora meeting, Dr Terrance Drew stated that This is an intentional venture I have decided to implement to maintain a strong relationship with fellow Kittitians and Nevisians abroad. Dr Terrance Drew believes that the people of St Kitts and Nevis Our people must be kept abreast of the developments within their homeland.
During the diaspora meeting, Prime Minister Drew took the opportunity to applaud the several Diaspora organizations that continue supporting our nation and maintaining a strong connection with their homeland. He stated that the people of St Kitts and Nevis are talented with richly diverse skillset. He stated that I am aware of several of our citizens within the Diaspora who have special interests and skills that we can draw on for the further development of our beloved Federation.
Accordingly, Dr Terrance Drew encouraged the people of St Kitts and Nevis living in New York to record their interest in contributing. The Prime Minister expressed his confidence on the people of St Kitts and Nevis and stated that I count on you to join me and your compatriots at home and abroad in building our land.
Finally, Dr Drew asserted that the the turnout to the Diaspora meetibg in New York was tremendous, and the meeting was quite successful. He stated that he is looking forward to future engagements. According to Dr Terrance Drew, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Glenroy Blanchette, was also present at the meeting.
