The police force of St Kitts and Nevis is investigating incidents of armed robberies in two different stores of the Ram’s Supermarket, which took place on Saturday. The police force shared some details of these investigations on their social media account. The incident took place in two different branches of Ram’s supermarkets. The robbery incident at both venues took place within hours of each other.
The Police officers have started the investigation of the incident at Ram’s Supermarket at Camps and Ram’s Supermarket at Bird Rock, respectively. The incident took place on Saturday, August 12, 2023. The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force has shared some observations of the incident with the country’s people through their social media accounts.
According to the police force, Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred at approximately 6:30 PM on August 12, 2023. Sources have revealed four armed and masked assailants wearing ‘hoodies’ entered Ram’s Supermarket at Camps.
The assailants robbed four cashier’s stations and the vault of the supermarket. They got a lot of money before fleeing the scene in a waiting car. Meanwhile, the other robbery incident occurred within two hours of the initial armed struggle. At approximately 7:55 PM, armed and masked assailants entered the Ram’s Supermarket at Bird Rock. The assailants were dressed in all-black outfits.
The assailants also stole a large sum of cash from the cashiers and the vault before making their getaway the same way as before, in a waiting car. The Crime Scene Unit of the St Kitts and Nevis processed the scenes of both incidents. They collected several items of evidential value. The police force has clarified that they conduct thorough investigations into the ongoing incidents.
They have also clarified that they would keep the general public appropriately up-to-date with the developments in the country’s incidents. Meanwhile, the force has urged the people to come forward with any information that they may possess in relation to the incidents. They clarified that the Police force will respect the person’s wish to provide critical information anonymously.
