The St Christopher and Nevis Police Force shared some updates on the recent search operations nationwide. In the various areas of St Kitts and Nevis they searched for illegal possesions, They found various illegal substances including narcotics and firearms in various areas which they raided.
The St Christopher and Nevis Police Force started their routine searches from Warner Park in St Kitts. The routine search, three days previously, took place on August 2, 2023, and recovered illegal firearm. The joint operation happened at the Len Harris Cricket Academy in Warner Park, St. Kitts. The Special Services Unit (SSU) and the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force engaged in a search of the dome’s interior.
The search revealed one (1) Diamond Back P9 9mm semi-automatic pistol along with a magazine containing twelve (12) matching rounds of ammunition. The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene, and the firearm and ammunition were taken into Police custody.
The police force clarifief that they have made no arrest in connection to the illegal weaponry. Further, The Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has recovered more suspected Cocaine in Newtown, St Kitts. The discovery was made during a search of an empty lot on Herbert Street.
The ANU found a solid white substance suspected to be Cocaine. No one has been held accountable for the suspected contraband find. The force has clarified An investigation into the find is ongoing. The force has shared that they continue to investigate the matter. Accordingly, they have recovered more suspected Cocaine on St Kitts.
During a search of an empty lot in the Irish Town, Basseterre, conducted on August 4th, 2023, the police two (2) bottles containing numerous pieces of a solid white substance suspected to be Cocaine. Further, they teamed up with St Kitts and Nevis Customs K-9 Unit and recovered an illegal firearm during a joint search of an empty lot on August 4th, 2023.
This discovery was also made in the Irish Town of Basseterre. The units recovered (1) one Semi-Automatic Pistol with (9) nine .40 rounds. The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) processed the scene and took the firearm and ammunition into Police custody, which was recovered.
