St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis is experiencing a thriving cruise tourism season, with a record-breaking six vessels docking simultaneously at Port Zante and Carambola Beach Club on Tuesday, December 03, 2024.

The cruise ships brought about 13,458 passengers to the twin island who explored the region and dived into the natural and local offerings of St Kitts and Nevis.

Besides the largest Cruise Ship in the world Icon of the Seas, the vessels that were welcomed included Windstar’s Star Pride, Seabourn Ovation, Crystal Serenity Celebrity Apex and Aida Perla.

Reportedly, the world’s most advanced Icon of the Seas brough about 5610 passengers followed by Aida Perla who brought 3286 cruise passengers. A significant contribution of passengers was also brought by Celebrity Apex with 2910 passengers.

The other cruise vessels were rather small in comparison to the bigger vessels but still brought a notable number of passengers collectively. The Crystal Serenity brought 740 passengers, Seabourn Ovation brought 600 passengers and Windstar’s Star Pride brought 312 passengers.

St Kitts also welcomed inaugural cruise calls from two vessels, Explorer II on Monday and MSC Virtuosa on Wednesday, December 04, 2024, marking another milestone for the vibrant destination as the nation embraces new opportunities in the cruise industry.

Notably, the passengers ventured around St Kitts and Nevis patronising the local businesses and took in the natural and historical wonders the island has to offer.

In addition to this, several passengers toured the Brimstone Hill Fortress, the St Kitts Scenic Railway. And the beaches of the South Friars Bay.

Remarkably, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew also expressed his excitement and his delight in sharing the boost in the tourism and development through his official social media. He noted that, “Great news – There are actually six ships in today. Wow!”
