Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew joined the leaders of the Other Eastern Caribbean nations in extending best wishes to the United Nations on the completion of 80 years of their existence. Dr Drew lauded the role played by the United Nations in bringing the world together and working on the nations helping each other with developmental avenues.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis joined the members of the OECS, including the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, PM of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Grenads, Dickon Mitchel and Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre and other regional leaders.
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis had recently accompanied many of these OECS national leaders to the 80th United Nations General Assembly. This event, hosted at the UN in the final week of September was another important example of the role that the UN has played over the decades in connecting the world.
