St Kitts and Nevis’ Attorney General Garth Wilkin has been elected as the Vice Chair of the United Nations Intergovernmental Negotiations Committee, and will represent the twin island nation by contributing to drafting the UN Framework Convention on International Tax Corporation.
The election of Attorney Wilkin attests to the commitment of the country to global cooperation and the readiness to take on leadership positions within international organizations.
Garth Wilkin is also the Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs and was elected as the Vice-Chair on Monday, February 3rd, 2025.

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended congratulatory wishes to Attorney Garth Wilkin as he represented St Kitts and Nevis and was elected to serve as a Vice Chair.
He described it as a tremendous achievement for the Federation and said that this will contribute to the permanent mission of the United Nations in the overall development of St Kitts and Nevis.
Furthermore, PM Drew thanked Attorney Wilkin, the Foreign Service, and the staff of the Permanent Mission of St Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations for their good service and wished them success in serving the entire world through the United Nations.
