The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, recently met the Minister of Sports, Samal Duggins, along with St Kitts and Nevis Football association members, including the President of St Kitts and Nevis Football Association, Atiba Harris; First Vice President, Mr Shawn White; Second Vice President Cuthbert Caines. The Prime Minister and the SKNFA attended a brief meeting with Claude Makélélé Sinda, a French football manager and former professional player.
Notably, the renowned player holds an international reputation in his sport. He will serve as the Technical Advisor of the St Kitts and Nevis Football Association. He played for the teams Real Madrid Football Club and Chelsea. Dr Drew took to his social media account to welcome the newly appointed technical advisor.
Dr Terrance Drew also took the opportunity to applaud the achievements of Makélélé during his career. He also praised the SKNFA for reaching out to the player to act as the technical advisor. The Prime Minister noted that this is the type of innovation and forward-thinking the sports association seeks. He pointed out that the sports industry can uplift the country. At the same time, he thanked the football player for heeding the call of St Kitts and Nevis and assisting them in the venture.
Claude Makélélé Sinda is a defensive midfielder for Chelsea, Real Madrid, and PSG. He won two Premier League championships, two La Liga Championships, one Champions League, and a runner-up for the FIFA World Cup in 2006. He is currently a youth coach and technical mentor at Chelsea, formerly the head coach of the Belgian First Division A club Eupen.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew asserted that Makélélé is a guest of the country, not just the SKNFA. Dr Drew promised that they would take care of him and ensures that he enjoyed his stay at the island nation.
