St Kitts and Nevis: The Ministry of Tourism has announced the Pioneers of the Industry Competition inviting all the local chefs from across the island to present their talents in the form of culinary delights.
This event is being held under the theme, “Tourism for Tomorrow: Driven by Community, Committed to Sustainability.” The event is scheduled to be held tomorrow, November 27th, 2024 at the St Kitts Marriott Resort Ballroom.
The competition will start at 4 PM and there is no entry fee to be a part of the flavourful event. The attendees will also be treated with free special drinks that will elevate their experience as an audience.
Significantly, the competition will be played under five different categories. The first category of the competition is ‘Culinary’ in which the participants will showcase their talent in the form of unique dishes.
The second category of the competition is ‘Dining Service’ in which the participants will be judged on the basis of the presentation of their dishes. The third category will be ‘Internal Maintenance’ which will feature competition on the grounds of cleanliness and maintenance displayed by the chefs.
The fourth category will be ‘Bartender’ in which the participating chefs will present their skills of presenting and serving the drinks in creative ways. The fifth category will be the ‘Housekeeping’ in which the chefs will show their cordial behaviour that provides the perfect dining experience to the attendees.
The judgements will be based on these categories and the chef with the maximum marks in all of the categories will ultimately win the event and would be rewarded with exciting prizes.
Notably, the ‘Pioneers of Industry Competition’ is designed to celebrate the delightful culinary offerings of St Kitts and Nevis with the audience of different cultures and communities of the country.
