The Minister responsible for Environment, Climate Action and Constituency Empowerment, Joyelle Clarke and Senior Minister in St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, Dr Denzil Douglas, has extended condolences to the deceased’s family, who died after a fatal stabbing incident on Monday, December 26, 2022.
Media reports on various news websites have identified the victim of the stabbing incident as Javel Alford. He was a 21-year-old resident of the St Paul’s Constituency in St Kitts. The Minister of constituency empower, Joyelle Clarke and the Parliamentary Representative of Saint Paul’s have extended their condolences.
Dr Joyelle Clarke took to her social media account. She stated, “It’s difficult to lose a loved one at any time of the year, but it is even more difficult during what should be a festive time meant to be a celebration of family.”
She shares her condolences to the family of the victim.
The Minister of foreign affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas, the parliamentary representative of the constituency, has also shared his condolences to the family.
He wrote on his social media account: My heart and our village aches. The village of St. Paul’s has lost a promising young man, Mr Javrel Alford.
Dr Douglas stated in his condolence message that the deceased victim, Alford was a natural performer who had big dreams and aspirations.
Further, he said, I would like to send my deepest condolences to his parents, Lorna and Clive Alford, his older brother Meshach Alford and the entire Alford family of St. Paul’s.
I wish you comfort, courage and love during this time of sorrow.
The unfortunate stabbing incident took place on December 26, 2022. At the time, Several carnival goers, along with several political leaders of St Kitts and Nevis, were attending the J’ouvert festivities under the Sugar Mas 51 event. Police authorities are currently investigating the incident and hope to get answers for the general public.
Meanwhile, St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee have vehemently condoled the incident.
