The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, led a delegation of ministers, including the Minister of Public Utilities, Konris Maynard, the Minister responsible for sustainable development, Dr Joyelle Clarke, and Permanent Secretary, Sharon Rattan among others to attend the COP27 conference.
The delegation attended an event hosted at St Kitts and Nevis Pavillion on Thursday, November 16. The team of leaders hosted the event under the theme, VISIONING A SUSTAINABLE ST KITTS NEVIS.
According to the leader of the delegation, Dr Denzil Douglas, their event at the COP 27 attracted a lot of positive attention from the conference. A lot of eventgoers also attended the event.
According to the former Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, the attendants widely appreciated the event. They even termed the event hosted by St Kitts and Nevis Delegation as one of the most impactful in the 2-week conference.
The Republic of China (Taiwan) sponsored the visit of The delegation from St Kitts and Nevis to the COP27. Further, our Taiwanese friends and colleagues have provided full technical and funding support for our first-ever Pavillion at COP27.

Minister Maynard revealed that St Kitts and Nevis Pavillion at COP27 drew a crowd yesterday as we discussed our vision for a Sustainable Island State. During the event, Minister Maynard gave a little taste of our culture as well. They responded very well, having heard the song, One Song, for the very first time!
