The Citizenship by Investment Unit of St Kitts and Nevis has achieved 30 milestones in the first 30 days of its transformation into a statutory body. While taking proactive approach, the groundbreaking and bold initiatives were implemented by the unit under the leadership of Chairman Calvin St Juste.

With the intense activity in the first 30 days, the transformative steps have received positive response and rewarding achievements. The steps were taken to further solidify the position of St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme and maintain its standards in the investment migration industry.

Chairman Calvin St Juste added that the initiatives have taken with new ideas and proactive approach, aiming to enhance the quality and value of the CBI Programme. It is also intended to benefit the investors with unparalleled opportunities while driving economic growth for the local community of St Kitts and Nevis.

“Our first 30 days as a statutory body have been a period of intense activity and rewarding achievements. Each initiative we’ve accomplished aims to create a seamless, efficient process for applicants and deliver exceptional service to stakeholders. We are committed to leading this Unit with innovation, responsiveness, and purpose to reflect the excellence St. Kitts and Nevis stands for.”

The Chairman emphasized that 30 initiatives have been guided by the six pillars, reflecting the commitment of the unity towards transparency, efficiency, and good governance. With effective team management and quality leadership, the unit has been striving to build their foundation of world-class citizenship.

While implementing one step every day, the unit has been working to improve their communication, collaboration to foster the sustainability agenda of St Kitts and Nevis.

Effective Team and Leadership appointments

In order to enhance strategic oversight and accountability, the unit decided to establish an accomplished Board of Governors, and more than 1,000 applicants were interviewed for the same. The applications for highly qualified individuals have been considered for filling specific roles in the unit, providing skilled, and proper staff for the functioning.

The C-Suite was formed in the first days of its transformation in which key leaders and their roles were determined, aiming to foster the operations and processing with the streamlining and strategic approach.

Fostering Communication

A dedicated team was established for building enhanced communication within the unit and with the investors and stakeholders. The team is tasked to provide accurate, timely updates to stakeholders while collaborating their work with a separate entity called “Office of the Chairman.”

The office is aimed at managing the functions of the Citizenship by Investment Unit while enhancing the position of St Kitts and Nevis CBI with quality executive decision-making. A comprehensive “Meet and Greet” sessions were also organized with Authorized agents, International Marketing Agents, and promoters.

First-in person and virtual meetings aimed at improving transparency and alignment within the unit as the communication was one of the guiding pillars of Chaiman.

Engagement Enhancement with Strategic Collaboration

The meetings were held with the agents in the middle east and Asia, aiming to foster collaboration and partnership. The gatherings and presentations were also hosted in major cities such as Dubai, Beijing and Shanghai, further solidifying the collaboration with the Citizenship by Investment Unit of St Kitts and Nevis.

Through these gathering, Chairman St Juste met with global stakeholders and discussed the sustainable future of the CBI Programme. The dates for the highly anticipated 2025 Investment Gateway Summit was announced, aiming to foster reputation of St Kitts and Nevis in the global citizenship sector.

Operational Enhancements and streamlines application processing

A 24-hour response benchmark was introduced to increase the service of St Kitts and Nevis CIU and enhance its capability toward response. A team was also designed to address the backlog of applications, further enhancing its process for all stakeholders. Advanced technology was used to enhance trac processing times with the proper management of the applications.

A framework of announcing decision on applications in 10 weeks has been setup with the issuance of new application forms and other regulatory updates. The step was taken to streamline application processing, fostering need of new investment threshold.

A new minimum investment threshold was set up to align the St Kitts and Nevis CBI with latest market trends and improve the accessibility for the investors.

Other milestones

With steps and transitioning of CIU, the number of applications has been risen, further increasing its revenue and the interest in the investors from across the globe. St Kitts and Nevis has also secured the top rank in the CBI Index 2024.

New initiatives outlined that the main applicants could sponsor dependent parents from age 55 while lowering previous threshold. Newborns are also added with the reduced free of US$7,500, making it easier for families to grow with the programme.
