A five year old girl from St Kitts and Nevis has drowned after a tragic incident in a hotel of St Maarten. The five year old girl lost her life after she drowned in the hotel swimming pool. The sources have suggested that the victim was a resident of Sandy Point, St. Kitts.

The Police Force of the St Maarten has shared some updates on the circumstances of the drowning incident that took place on August 31, 2023. The Police force of St Marteen shared that they recieved some distress calls at around 12:30 PM.

As per the sources of the St Maarten Police Force, the calls were reporting the unconscious child found in the hotel’s pool. The child was at the time of the distress calls alive and breathing. She struggled with the lung trauma and other injuries.

The bystanders who spotted the child first at the pool of the hotel acted swiftly. They were responsible for pulling her from the water and administering initial aid. The first responders, in the form of the bystanders took the efforts to stay with the child till further assistance could reach the five year old.

Following the arrival of the ambulance, medical personnel rushed the sandy point resident to the SMMC. The young child recieved some treatment from the medical personell at the hospital . However, despite their best efforts, the young victim succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The tragic event has left a profound sense of loss in the hearts of the family of the young child from Sandy Point who was victim to the unexpected and unfortunate incident. Sources suggest that the incident serves as a somber reminder of the fragility of life.

The incident in question, although happened in St Maarten, comes only three weeks after a similar drowning claimed the life of a young boy in St Pauls. The Police officials have extended their most heartfelt condolences to the grieving family in Sandy Points St Kitts during this unimaginably difficult time as they grapple with the profound loss.
