The St Kitts and Nevis Royal St Christopher police force has taken to social media and shared some glimpses of the weapons and illegal items that were recorded during the Jouvert celebrations.
RSCNPF recovered contraband items, weapons, and weaponised household items that they confiscated from people before and during the 2023 Jouvert celebrations.
RSCNPF highlighted that, as they have stated ahead of the J’ouvert, they are wholly committed to protecting the festive vibe and doing more with vim and vigour.
RSCNPF warned the people choosing to arm themselves and go jamming to be aware as this action is of extreme concern.
RSCNPF emphasised that the ripple effects created by acts of violence are far-reaching and intensely detrimental to all of SKNSociety, not just the immediate victim(s) of the crime(s).
RSCNPF have urged the St Kitts and Nevis residents to put safety first. They noted that the time had come for people to think before they commit to certain actions. RSCNPF has encouraged people to think of their family and friends and also themselves before taking any action
RSCNPF has encouraged St Kitts and Nevis residents to come forward if they want or know anyone desirous of a free vacation to try their luck at a raffle of some kind; since its doors were opened, His Majesty’s Prison has never qualified as a hotel, resort, guest house, inn, or Airbnb. It does not accommodate optional check-outs; privacy is almost non-existent; the “tours” only stop at the Court House, and the views from the rooms do not inspire feelings of peace and tranquillity.

Additionally, the RSCNPF has urged the residents of St Kitts and Nevis to come forward and report any crime they might have witnessed.
