Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) are calling out the students, who wish to pursue their master’s degree under this scholarship to submit their online forms by May 24, 2024 at 11:00 am.

The Ministry of Human Resources in the NIA reminded the students about QECS for the Graduate Academic Studies through the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The students who want to pursue their master’s degree organised by member institutions such as Ghana, Mauritius, Fiji, Samoa, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.

It is to be noted that the students must have the following requirements before filling the online form.  The QECS programme offers fully funded master’s degree course for the citizens of six independent QECS Member States.

  1. He/she should be the citizen of any of the QECS Member States like Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, The Commonwealth of Dominica, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines.
  2. The person should have a Lower Second Class Honour degree in relevant fields of Economic, Political Science, International Relations, Management, Statistical Analysis, Law, International Relations, and Agriculture Development or related fields.
  3. Should have good academic record.

The QECS scholarship covers the following:

  • Fully funded tuition fees
  • Stipend (living allowance) for the time period of the award
  • One-off arrival allowance
  • Return flights (Economy) to the host country
  • Research support grant (only on request; subject to approval)
