St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew was delighted to present six new vehicles to the Royal Christopher and Nevis Police Force at the handing-over ceremony at the Police Training School held on Thursday. These vehicles were provided as a government’s commitment to ensure safety and security for all citizens.
Dr Drew, who also serves as the Minister of National Security, expressed his commitment and dedication to allow law enforcement officers to be effective in their services and encourage residents to have a greater sense of security in the nation.
On Thursday, he took to his social media handle to inform the audience about this strategic move and shared some glimpses of the handing-over ceremony.
“Earlier today we had a symbolic handing-over ceremony at the Police Training School for a new fleet of vehicles for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force,” he noted.
PM Drew highlighted the government’s steadfast dedication to serving the safety and security of every citizen. He said that these strategic investments will reinforce their commitment to ensuring a secure environment for all.
He added, “These vehicles symbolize more than just transportation; they represent our unwavering support for our law enforcement officers and their tireless efforts to keep our communities safe.”
At last, the Prime Minister assured that the Government will continue in their efforts to make meaningful investments towards the safety and security of its citizens.
Reportedly, the Ceremony took place in the presence of PM Dr Terrance Drew, Permanent Secretary Cecile Hull, the Commissioner of Police James Sutton, and other officers of the Police High Command.
Additionally, six National Security vehicles were commissioned on Thursday for the St Kitts and Nevis Police. Meanwhile, an additional vehicle is also expected to arrive on the following day March 08. This announcement was made by PM Drew at his Round Table discussion on Thursday, March 07.
As per the Royal Christopher and Nevis Police, out of these, two of the vehicles will be allocated to the Nevis Division Force and one to the Joint Security Operations Tactical Team.
