Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew has extended his best wishes to Kamla Persad-Bissessar. The people of Trinidad and Tobago have elected the United National Congress to form the government in the April 28, 2025 polls.
The leader of the United National Congress, Kamla Persad Bissessar will be returning to the Office of Prime Minister after a full decade. The new Prime Minister-elect of Trinidad and Tobago and her team have promised to work on their promises.
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis has taken to his social media to congratulate PM-Elect Bissessar. He also pledged to work on deepening the working partnership between St Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago.
PM Drew highlighted that he is looking forward to working with the new leadership of the sister CARICOM nation. The Prime Minister joins the other leaders of the Caribbean Community in extending his best wishes.
Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s party won 26 seats in the National Assembly of the country, securing a comfortable majority. The People’s National Movement secured 13 seats and sat in the official opposition for the country’s National Assembly.
The results of the April 28 polls have been termed as the voice of the nation being heard. The Prime Minister elect of Trinidad and Tobago highlighted that the people have voted for change.
