The prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, took to his social media account to share the experience of engaging with the country’s senior population. The St Kitts and Nevis administration has been preparing for the celebration of the country’s fortieth anniversary of Independence.
The senior day celebration was also a part of the Independence Day celebration schedule. The leader of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, Dr Drew was present at the celebration hosted by the ministry of youth empowerment, ageing and disabilities.
Dr Drew took to his social media account to share some glimpses from the day long celebration that took place on September 6. 2023. Dr Terrance Drew announced through his social media that hhe was extremely happy to engage with the country’s senior population.
He announced through his social media account that seeing the joy and excitement on our Seniors’ faces was a pleasure. He travelled to participate in National Heroes Park’s Seniors Independence Cultural Celebration.
The Ministry of Youth empowerment, ageing and disabilities provided the transport and other facilities to the people who wanted to participate in the celeb.ration
Dr Terrance Drew noted that the seniors population of St Kitts and Nevis holds a special place in our hearts. He added that their wisdom and experiences have shaped the St Kitts and Nevis we know today.
Dr drew announced that he was honored to celebrate Independence with them.
The prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, shared some images from the celebration hosted at the National Heroes Park. Following the event’s successful conclusion, he applauded the numerous contributions that the senior population have made for the benefit of the country.
He believes that they have paved the way for our generation, and I am thrilled to stand beside them as we commemorate our journey towards growth, maturity, and resilience under the theme “Growing Sustainably, Developing Maturely, Building Resiliency: Independence 40.”
