St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew met with Adel Al Jubeir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during his courtesy visit to the nation. The meeting comprised several bilateral discussions towards transforming the nation’s energy sector, including climate resilience, sustainability, and economic transformation.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 46th Regular Meeting of the CARICOM Heads Conference. Earlier on Wednesday, PM Drew took to his social media handle (Twitter) to share some insights from the meeting.

“I had a fruitful discussion with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Adel Al Jubeir on the sidelines of the 46th Regular Meeting of the CARICOM Heads Conference. Saint Kitts and Nevis is grateful for the partnership with Saudi Arabia toward the transformation of our energy sector in the name of climate resilience, sustainability, and economic transformation,” PM Drew added.
Further, he also discussed the Scholarship plans for the students of St Kitts and Nevis to pursue higher education in Saudi Arabia. These scholarships will be made available to the students later this year and foster a deeper understanding and collaboration among their people.

“I have also secured scholarships for our students to study in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Scholarships will be available later this year,” PM Drew highlighted.
Additionally, during these Bilateral discussions, the Prime Minister indicated that this new collaboration with Saudi Arabia is intended to bring various opportunities for their nation.
It will be also effective in bringing effective transformation in terms of technological expertise, investment, and knowledge exchange to propel the nation and achieve the sustainable island agenda of the nation.
Earlier on Monday, Minister Adel Al Jubeir also met with the President of Guyana, Irfaan Ali, and the Vice-President Dr Bharrat Jagdeo of Guyana. He was the special guest for the 46th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community. Upon his arrival to the nation, he was greeted by the Minister of Labour, Joseph Hamilton, and other officials.
