Talking about her plans for the community centres and social activities, Latoya Jones made the following commitments:
- The Cotton Ground Bus Stop will be adopted and upgraded with new landscaping and other beautification.
- Purchase/install printers, computers, and books for libraries, as well as other learning materials at the community centres
- The government will take a new approach to ensure that our community centres are fully utilized and accessible to all residents.
- As part of my efforts to promote better environmental practices, a recycling drive will be undertaken- plastic bottles, cans etc.
- Will work with other agencies to enhance the viability of the historic Fort Ashby site
- Create and install village signage where they presently do not exist

- Construction of new and improved St. Thomas primary school
- Establish a lunch program that would be free of cost to students
- Establish a new reading academy for students
- Initiate and support with sponsorship, various competitions – essay, art etc.
- Establish an annual scholarship program for students at the St. Thomas Primary School)
- Initiate skills and entrepreneurship training/workshops/forums Homework assistance program
- Establish a St. Thomas Parish Art Studio
- Work with the Ministry of Education to secure added scholarships to facilitate academic excellence.
