The American Footballer Joshua Williams and the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl LWIII 2024 with a back-to-back victory against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended his warm greetings and congratulated him and his team on their victory. “Congratulations to our own Joshua Williams and the Kansas City Chiefs on your back-to-back Super Bowl win!” he noted on his official Facebook handle earlier on Monday.
PM Drew further also said, “The people of Saint Kitts and Nevis are happy and proud.”
According to the information, the match was being played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, February 11, 2024. The Kansas City Cheifs beat San Francisco at 25-22 and became the first Super Bowl champion in two decades.
On Sunday, PM Drew also wished Joshua Williams all the best for the match. He said, “I want to wish Joshua Williams of the Kansas City Chiefs all the best for tonight’s Super Bowl LVIII.”
Further, he also shared that Joshua is the son of George Williams, a citizen of Saint Kitts and Nevis, who formerly resided in Molineux.
“Saint Kitts and Nevis proudly supports you,” he quoted.
Notably, following marking the triumph win, Williams displayed the national flag of the nation, St Kitts and Nevis, with his family, including his dad, George Williams and his uncle, Ronald.
Dr Denzil Douglas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Former Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, also presented his warm wishes to him and his team.

It is also to be noted that, Joshua Willaims is a national of Saint Kitts and Nevis, previously he also played in the NFL Super Bowl 57 in February 2023.
He also represented himself at Fayetteville State University, which he graduated from in 2017, before being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in April 2022, where he currently plays as a cornerback.
Meanwhile, several community people from social media handles congratulated Williams and wished him all the support, love and success in his life. “Congratulations, so glad to see you are proud of our small island in the sun,” a user Ingrid Charles noted.
Another user also displayed big applause over his triumphant performance, “Congratulations to him and his family and his team. I love the way he boldly states he is a Christ follower,” and “Congratulations to him and his team on the win at the Superbowl,” users reacted.
