Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has announced that the first ever Public MRI Machine is in the final stages of installation at the JNF General Hospital. After the MRI Machine is properly istalled, the people of St Kitts and Nevis will not have to travel overseas for imaging.
The MRI will be operational in the next few months, giving a much-needed boost to the diagnostic capacity of the nation. With imaging available right on the island, the people of the island will not have to wait long periods to get results for their test.

The officials have shared that with this MRI Machine; the healthcare workers will be able to manage and detect chronic conditions in a much faster and effective manner. he construction of the MRI Machine has bee ongoing for more than ten months.
The administration has been working hard and diligently to improve services at the JNF General Hospital. New hires, technical trainings and development of physical infrastructure are all part of this mandate.

The construction of the MRI Unit enclosure at the JNF General Hospital had started in 2024 October. Less than an year later, St Kitts and Nevis is ready to open the doors of the long-awaited MRI machine in a few months.
