The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has started their official investigations into the armed robbery of David Lee’s Supermarket. The robbery took place in the Cayon community of St. Kitts. According to the preliminary investigation, The criminal act was committed on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
The police officials believe that the accurate timings of the robbing incident were between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM. As per the first incident investigation, two (2) armed and masked assailants held the owner of David Lee’s Supermarket in Cayon and the security guard at gunpoint.
Preliminary reports indicate that the masked assailants entered the closed store in Cayon forcefully. Once inside, the masked robbers stole a sum of money from the cash register and other small items. Following this, the culprits left the scene of the crime. The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force processed the scene and collected all items of evidential value. An investigation into the incident is underway.
The police force has urged that the people of St Kitts and Nevis must support law enforcement authorities in successfully investigating and apprehending the criminals. They urged that if anyone has any information that could assist in the apprehension of these and other perpetrators of criminal acts, don’t hesitate to contact the nearest police station.
They have further claimed that consistent community collaboration is key to curbing criminal activity. Meanwhile, criminal activities in the federation have risen significantly in the last few weeks. The police force has also shared some tips to prevent robberies and crimes from curbing this significant violent surge of these incidents on the island.

The people of the country have also expressed their disbelief over the situation and shared their disappointment over the surge of crime in St Kitts and Nevis.
