Government of St Kitts and Nevis is hosting a Solar Energy Training Course for the youngsters of the country. The training complements the newly launched Solar and Battery Energy Storage Project.
The transition to solar energy for the energy needs of St Kits and Nevis will help in reducing the country’s carbon footprint. The training is a joint effort of the Ministry of Education, AVEC, Green Solutions International (GSI), and the ELEVATE Programme.
The government of St Kitts is promoting renewable energy and a greener economy with their efforts to introduce green energy, solar energy and geothermal as alternate sources of energy production. The Solar Energy training programme will start from Monday, July 21, 2024. The organizers have invited youngsters to get registered.
The government believes that this will be a very good learning opportunity for the youngsters. The programme will also help people who are not part of the workforce gain expertise in a specialised field.The training will helpparticipants learn the skills and knowledge which will help them succeed in the field of solar energy.
The programme will also make the people ofthe island nation future ready because of the skills that they will be able to learn on the training will help them in laterlife. Interested people can register for the programme at the ELEVATE Office situated at Bay Road
The programme will accept up to50participants from St Kitts and Nevis forthe training.They will learn about:
• Solar Installation
•Electrical Safety
• Renewable Energy Systems
• Skills for Green Workforce Entry
• Industry Recognized Certification
The training project will help in development of solar energy in St Kittsand Nevis with more local workforce. At the same time, the training will also help the youth gain more knowledge about the sector.The training will provide the individuals with certifications andworkforce training.
Both these perks will prove valuable for the careers of the youngsters in the long term.
