The senior winners of the National Carnival Events of the 54th edition of the St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival, Sugar Mas have been invited to Nigeria to showcase their talent. The artists and performers will be participating in the Aquarian Consult’s Afri-Caribbean Summit, taking place in Abuja, Nigeria.
The summit is being hosted from March 23-28, 2026 and the delegation of the Carnival Winners will be accompanying Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew. The theme for this year’s summit is “One Voice, One Vision, Advancing Afri-Caribbean Unity,”
The theme highlights the increased commitment and efforts to foster greater collaboration between the two regions. The leaderships from both the regions have been dedicated towards fostering unity between their two regions.
The summit will also highlight the cultures and histories of both the regions, which have been connected across centuries. Minister Samal Duggins is serving as Co-Chair of this significant Summit. He will be accompanying the winners delegation for this summit.
Minister Duggins has been a passionate advocate for the Afro-Caribbean Diaspora in his years as the Minister of St Kitts and Nevis. Minister Duggins and his team have continuously worked to provide the creatives of the federation with opportunities to engage with and experience African culture.
According to the St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee, the AfriCaribbean Summit represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The young and talented individuals have the opportunity to grow and develop their skills while immersing themselves in vibrant cultural exchange.

The officials of the St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee have extended their best wishes to the representatives who will be travelling to Nigeria for the event. They have shared that they will be able to engage with several seniors and experts in their respective fields.
