Dr Terrance Drew met with some senior officers from the Southern University earlier this week. The meeting was hosted with the aim of expanding collaboration opportunity with the University.
St Kitts and Nevis government has been dedicated to securing quality tertiary-level educational opportunities for the people. The meeting was also an effort in this direction. The officials have shared that the meeting formed part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships.

During the meeting with the high level officers, the team accompanying Prime Minister Drew included Hadiya Claxton, Special Envoy for Investment, Development and International Business Relations, and Kelvina Salters, who serves as the Government Liaison to the St. Kitts and Nevis-Southern University relationship.
The meeting was also attended by a group of delegates from Southern University
The Southern University delegation included Dr. Donovan L. Segura, who acts as the Special Assistant to the President
Dr. Orlando F. McMeans, who serves as the Interim President of the Southern University System and Chancellor of the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center
Myron K. Lawson, who is the Member and Former Chairman of the Southern University Board of Supervisors
Dr. Tracey Taylor-Jarrell, Member of the Southern University Board of Supervisors and Executive Director.
