Samal Duggins, the Minister of Creative Economy welcomed the participants of the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant. The Pageant was hosted in St Kitts on Tuesday, December 30 where the pageant winners from across the Caribbean region were in attendance. 

The Minister of Creative Economy has shared that he hosted the welcome dinner for the talented young contestants of the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant. The Minister has shared that he was delighted to welcome the ambassadors from across the region to St Kitts and Nevi. 

He shared some images from the event on his social media and shared that the welcome dinner was an opportunity for the people of St Kitts and Nevis to make the pageant more inclusive experience for the people of St Kitts and Nevis.

Samal Duggins shared that it was a joy to host the girls who had travelled to St Kitts and Nevis for the pageant. He extended her best wishes to the pageant contestants and highlighted that he hoped every ambassador did their best to make the event a success, 

The pageant has been an annual event where young teenage girls, who have won their national teen pageants and been chosen as representatives of their nations come together to compete with other talented girls from around the Caribbean.

The girls who came into the pageant hailed from nine nations across the Caribbean.

Miss Antigua: Tekyra Richards

Miss British Virgin Islands: Maya Zareiah Venice Marcellin

Miss Guyana: Athaliya Falicien

Miss Haiti: Dely Edwinie

Miss Saint Lucia: Miya Johnson

Miss Saint Croix: Melanie Rebecca Lewis
Miss St Kitts: Soriah Williams-Powell 

Miss Trinidad and Tobago: Vamika Singh

The Minister shared that all the participants represent the promise, creativity, and potential of our region’s youth. They Minister said that he was proud to have the talented youngsters right here in St Kitts for the cultural showcase of the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant
