Dr Terrance Drew met with the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmad Tinubu during his trip to Nigeria. The Prime Minister discussed several issues of importance with the President of Nigeria during his meeting.
The meeting took place on Thursday, exactly one year after Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew met with the President of Nigeria at the President’s Villa. The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis shared some images from his meeting with President Tinubu on his social media.
He shared that the discussions which they had centred heavily around the areas of mutual importance for Nigeria and St Kitts and Nevis. The two leaders discussed ways of strengthening collaboration in the areas of education, food security, and agriculture.
They also talked about creating strong cultural exchanges between the two nations with the support of creatives and leadership on both sides. The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis shared that “We had a lengthy conversation on strengthening cooperation in education, agriculture, food security, and cultural exchange, as well as advancing deeper collaboration between Africa and the Caribbean,”
He also noted that they are working diligently on strengthening the bridge between Africa and the Caribbean. They are moving steadfastly from shared history to shared progress.

At their March 2025 meeting, Drew had expressed a strong interest in connecting the two regions. He also took the opportunity to describe Africa as “the motherland”, a sentiment that he expressed one more time during his keynote address in 2026
The meeting served as the platform for the leaders of the country to remember the priority areas that they had agreed to work on together. The Minister is currently attending the AfriCaribbean Investment Summit organized by Aquarian Consult in Abuja, Nigeria.
